When you need to permanently lock assemblies that must not come loose, LOCTITE® 270 is a great choice. This high-strength threadlocker has maximum efficacy in the securing and sealing of bolts, nuts and studs to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration. It works on all metals without the need for a surface activator or primer – including passive substrates like stainless steel, aluminium and plated surfaces – and can cure through light coatings of corrosion-prevention oils and cutting fluids without the need to clean the surfaces prior to application. The lock might be permanent, but it can still be disassembled: simply heat to 300°C (572°F) and remove while still hot.
